Eames Lounge Chair - Classic Dimensions

 "Why don't we make an updated version of the old English club chair?"
With this comment, Charles Eames initiated the development of the Lounge Chair, a process that took several years. The Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman went on to become one of the great designs of the 20th century.

Since the Lounge Chair first went into production, average human height has increased worldwide by nearly 10 cm. These days the authentic Eames Lounge Chair is available from Vitra in two sizes: with the original Classic Dimensions and with New Dimensions for taller users. 
Furthermore, both options can now be upholstered in a bouclé fabric exclusive to Vitra. A choice of six wood veneers can be specified, including new European woods like chestnut, cherry, and walnut.
